Most people think that aging is mother nature's rule and to stay alive and young, way past the life expectancy is impossible. But, the science of aging is always advancing and we are gradually learning what we can do to stay young. A twenty one century individual could expect to live to an age way over the life expectancy of today; which is 77 to 83 years old for first world countries (35 to 60 for third world countries because of hard to get health care) as opposed to 30 years old few decades ago. The following are few things you can do to stay young!

. Forget about numbers and factors. This includes age, height, eye and skin color, who your parents are, and past and present stuff that you can't change. Don't worry about what you cannot change.

. Do not worry!

. Thank GOD every day for all your blessings.

. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches will pull you down. Make sure that YOU are a cheerful friend and not a grouch yourself. Who you are with, will bless you or mess you up.

. Keep learning "new" things. Acquire a new hobby or try to learn more in the hobby or profession that you have. Learn a new language, computer, craft, cooking, nutrition, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer.

. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you are out of breath.

. Enjoy the simple things in life. Breathing is one of the simple things.

. Tears will happen. Grieve, endure, and move on. Don't blame others for your situation. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge. (But no clutter! lol)

. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help. Your body is the most important vehicle you will ever own.

. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall or even a county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

. At every opportunity, tell the people that you love; "I love you".

. Do not smoke. Period.

. Maintain a healthy weight. Try to eat less than more. Always finish eating few spoons less before you are full.

. Have healthy meals in moderations from every food group; including protein, starch, good fat and lots of colorful vegetables.

. Last but not least, visit this site often to learn more everyday!

If you forget these posts, just observe the young children and act young; Laugh, dance, jump, and explore new things. Attitude is everything. If you do these for 21 days you will build a habit for a long and young life.
